Hello Phuong,
I am very well, thank you, though missing Vietnam. I hope you are also very well.
My wife, who is a better writer, is still working on our review to post.
As for some internal feedback, again our group all very much enjoyed the trip. Our guide and driver were both excellent, friendly, and reliable. The itinerary was quite full but worked out well to include the northern loop through the mountains. We wouldn't have tried to include any more than we did. The food throughout the trip ranged from good to excellent, and we enjoyed a lot of variety and many memorable meals.
The accommodations were very good, with only one exception. The stay at Dao Lodge at Nam Dam village wasn't up to the same standards as the rest. The lodge seemed in disrepair. There were problems with the water and some of us had no hot water. The most disappointing incident, which was not the fault of the lodge, occurred during the initiation ritual when a couple of local men showed up and started making fun of the performers.
A couple of the home stays had shared bathrooms on a different floor than the sleeping quarters. This was a bit more challenging for us older travelers, but ended up working out fine because it was only for one night in each case. Also the hosts at those locations were very friendly and hospitable, and the meals excellent.
Overall I'd say you certainly met our expectations, and there is nothing to rectify. We will be in touch again in the future to plan another trip, either in Vietnam or perhaps Thailand where I believe you also operate.
Thank you again for all of your hard work in supporting our travels.
I've attached a few of my favorite photos from the trip.
All the best,
Patrick Feighan
