DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LUANG PRABANG
Upon arrival at Luang Prabang Airport, your guide and driver will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in the city center.
Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure to relax or explore the charming old quarter on your own.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.
DAY 2: LUANG PRABANG – TEMPLES & KUANG SI WATERFALLS (B/L)
An optional early start gives you the chance to join the morning almsgiving ritual, when saffron-robed monks collect food offerings — a timeless spiritual moment unique to Laos.
Afterward, take a UNESCO heritage walk through the peaceful morning streets and local markets before returning to the hotel for breakfast.
Begin your guided tour at the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Center, then continue to the graceful Wat Xieng Thong, the former Royal Palace (National Museum), and Wat Mai, admired for its five-tiered roof and golden bas-reliefs.
In the afternoon, drive to the Kuang Si Waterfalls, about 30 km south of town. Walk along forest trails, swim in turquoise pools, or simply relax amid limestone formations and cascading tiers.
Return to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.
DAY 3: LUANG PRABANG – MEKONG CRUISE & BACI CEREMONY (B/L)
After breakfast, transfer to the pier and board a traditional long-tail boat for a relaxing cruise upstream on the Mekong River.
Stop at Ban Xang Khong, a weaving village where you can try your hand at the loom with local artisans. Continue to the sacred Pak Ou Caves, located at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers. Inside, hundreds of Buddha images fill the chambers — a revered pilgrimage site.
Enjoy a Lao-style lunch onboard while cruising past dramatic limestone cliffs.
Return to Luang Prabang for an afternoon at leisure.
In the evening, take part in a traditional Baci ceremony, or “calling of the soul” — a blessing performed by village elders to wish you health, happiness, and good fortune.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.
DAY 4: LUANG PRABANG – DEPARTURE
After breakfast, visit The Bamboo Experience, an interactive workshop that reveals the cultural importance of bamboo in Lao daily life.
Try bamboo weaving under expert guidance, sharpen knives, cut bamboo, and craft your own souvenir mat. Then join a bamboo cooking session, preparing traditional dishes such as bamboo shoot soup, sticky rice, and fermented bamboo dip.
Enjoy your meal in a peaceful Lao-style pavilion overlooking green rice fields.
Spend some free time at leisure before your transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi or onward destination.
End of Services.
