DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN HANOI
Arrive in Hanoi, the capital of unified Vietnam, famed for shady avenues, lakes, manicured gardens, and preserved architecture. Meet your guide and driver, transfer to the hotel, and relax or stroll at leisure.

DAY 2: HANOI SIGHTSEEING AND MOTORCYCLE TOUR (B/L/-)
08:30 meet your guide. Visit the Temple of Literature (Vietnam’s first university, 1076). Walk the Old Quarter (“36 streets”) and Hoan Kiem Lake with Ngoc Son Temple. See St. Joseph’s Cathedral and the tranquil Pagoda Ba Da.
Afternoon: explore neighborhoods by Russian Minsk motorcycle. Taste local “pho” in Ba Dinh, then ride to hidden farmland on the Red River bank. Stop at historic Long Bien Bridge (1898–1902, Eiffel design), browse a second-hand market in Hai Ba Trung, wander residential alleys and a wet market to learn about daily ingredients and sample tropical fruit.

DAY 3: HANOI – NINH BINH – HANOI – NIGHT TRAIN TO LAO CAI (B/L/-)
08:30 drive to Hoa Lu, 10th-century capital. Visit the citadel and temples of Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Dai Hanh.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Option A: Boat the Trang An (UNESCO) cave system amid dramatic karsts — “Halong on Land”.
Option B: Cycle to Bich Dong Pagoda (1428), then private sampan at Tam Coc on the Ngo Dong River through caves Hang Ca, Hang Hai, Hang Ba.
Return to Hanoi; free time until the 22:00 night train to Lao Cai (shared 4-berth cabin).
Overnight on the train.
DAY 4: LAO CAI – BAC HA (SUNDAY) – SAPA
Arrive Lao Cai (~05:55); breakfast at a local restaurant. Drive the winding road to Bac Ha. Visit the colorful Bac Ha Market (Sun) frequented by Flower H’Mong, Phu La, Dao Tuyen. See Hoang A Tuong Mansion (early 20th c., Oriental–European style) and stroll Thai Giang Pho village. Stop at Ma Tra (H’Mong) en route to Sapa.
Overnight in Sapa.

DAY 5: SAPA – HANOI
08:30 hike across the Muong Hoa Valley: from Black H’Mong Lao Chai to Zay Ta Van, with terraced paddies and Fansipan views; see indigo-dye traditions. Return to Sapa for lunch (own arrangement). Join-in minivan back to Hanoi (~20:00).

DAY 6: HANOI – HALONG (B/L/D)
08:30 drive via the Red River Delta to Tuan Chau Pier. Board your selected Lan Ha Bay overnight cruise; lunch served while cruising among limestone islets. Afternoon activities: kayaking or swimming; relax on the sundeck.
Dinner of fresh seafood.
Overnight on board.
Alternative: Embark at Ha Long International Port for Bai Tu Long Bay (kayaking, caves, floating villages). Dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 7: HALONG – HANOI AIRPORT – FLIGHT TO HUE (B/Brunch/-)
Sunrise on the bay; light breakfast, then brunch as you glide past karsts. Disembark and transfer to Noi Bai (Domestic) for the short flight to Hue. Meet and transfer to hotel.

DAY 8: HUE (B/-/-)
Full-day heritage tour: the Imperial Citadel (Vauban-inspired: Kinh Thanh, Hoang Thanh, Cam Thanh) and riverside Thien Mu Pagoda (17th c.). Afternoon: Tu Duc’s Mausoleum, colorful Thuy Xuan incense village, and ornate Khai Dinh’s Mausoleum (Nguyen–European blend).
Overnight in Hue.
DAY 9: HUE – HOI AN (B/-/-)
08:30 depart via coastal settlements and stunning Lang Co lagoon, then the panoramic Hai Van Pass to Hoi An. Stroll Hoi An Ancient Town (UNESCO): Japanese Covered Bridge, a Chinese assembly hall, and merchant houses.
Overnight in Hoi An.
DAY 10: HOI AN – MY SON SANCTUARY (B/-/-)
08:30 drive to My Son Sanctuary (UNESCO), spiritual center of the Champa Kingdom; admire red-brick towers in a lush valley. Return to Hoi An around lunchtime; afternoon at leisure for shopping or beach time.

DAY 11: HOI AN – DA NANG – FLIGHT TO CAN THO
Transfer to Da Nang Airport for the short flight to Can Tho. Hotel check-in, then 14:00 countryside cycling (7–10 km): rustic roads, local life, visit an organic cacao farm (manual chocolate making & tasting). Ferry across to Giàn Gừa—a hidden gem of tangled greenery and photogenic paths. Finish ~18:00.

DAY 12: CAN THO – BEN TRE
07:00 board the Mystic Sampan for breakfast cruise to the bustling Cai Rang Floating Market; weave among produce boats and visit a rice-noodle (Hu Tieu) workshop. Drive to Ben Tre (coconut kingdom) and check in at Mekong Home (bungalows in a tropical garden by the river). Learn local fishing techniques.
Evening: cooking class (Bánh xèo) and homestyle dinner (e.g., caramelized pork, fish soup, spring rolls). Finish with a lemongrass & ginger foot bath.
Overnight in Ben Tre.
DAY 13: BEN TRE – HO CHI MINH CITY (B/L/-)
Boat from Ham Luong pier to explore Ben Tre River livelihoods: brick kiln, coconut workshops (milk, candy, oil, mats, charcoal), and a sleeping-mat house (tea & fruits). Ride a xe lôi (motor cart) or bicycle along shady rural paths by rice fields and vegetable plots.
Lunch at a local restaurant (specialties: elephant-ear fish, river shrimp).
Row a palm-shaded canal to Hung Vuong Pier; drive to Ho Chi Minh City (~17:00).

DAY 14: CU CHI TUNNELS BY BOAT (B/L/-)
07:00 transfer to Bach Dang Pier, speedboat to Cu Chi. Riverbank turns from cityscape to jungle; enjoy a light breakfast on board. Arrive before the crowds: watch the intro film, see weapon/booby-trap exhibits, enter a genuine tunnel, visit bunkers (kitchen, meeting, ammo), and taste cassava with iced coffee. Lunch by the river; return to the city by ~13:30.

DAY 15: HO CHI MINH CITY – DEPARTURE (B/-/-)
08:30 city immersion via market, history, and pagoda. Start at Bàn Cờ Market (District 3), then Nguyen Thien Thuat apartments. Visit the FITO Museum (Traditional Vietnamese Medicine). Step back in time at historic Đỗ Phủ Café (secret 1968 weapon bunker and vintage car). See hidden Van Phat Pagoda (Chinatown) with thousands of Buddhas and learn about cremation-urn customs. Finish in the French Quarter at the Saigon Central Post Office.
Leisure time until your private transfer to the airport for departure.
