A Wonderful Vietnam Private Tour Experience We, (a group of 4 adults), decided to travel to Vietnam for a few weeks holiday. We had been planning this since my wife and I returned from our previous Vietnam holiday in 2019, but COVID had made a mess of those plans. Finally, we decided the time was right to explore Vietnam from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City and finish with a few days at Phu Quoc Island to relax, before returning to Brisbane, Australia. We decided to cut out the middleman and book directly with a travel company in Vietnam. Making the decision to use a Vietnam-based travel company carries some risk these days. After a thorough check of our shortlisted companies we selected Tonkin Travel, based in Hanoi, because they had been operating since 2001, had a current travel license issued by Vietnamese Government, and great reviews on Trip Advisor. I made contact with Tonkin Travel, was allocated a travel consultant (Ms Hien) and after a couple of weeks of tailoring a tour to suit our needs, we had our 17-day tour schedule organised, price agreed, and paperwork underway. We have now returned to Australia, and I wanted to take this opportunity to let travellers know just how good the Tonkin Travel service was. From our pickup on arrival in Hanoi, until our departure from Phu Quoc, the trip was simply great. Our guides, drivers, and hotels were first class. Our planned tours were first class, and our overall experience was one we will never forget. We had zero problems with our tour, which reflects the professional approach to planning, the attention to detail, and the great support, provided by Tonkin Travel. Finally, a special mention to Ms Hien, our Tonkin Travel consultant for a wonderful job of looking after us from start to finish. Hien even arranged our visas as part of the package and sent us flight boarding passes the day before each of our internal flights. To cap it off, we were able to catch up with Hien during our stay in Hanoi, put a face to the name, and share some time together.
