Setting the Pace of Your Journey
When you commit to a major Southeast Asia trip, the biggest risk is “temple fatigue” or burning out from too many flights. A flawlessly designed itinerary needs rhythm. It needs high-energy days followed by moments of deep relaxation.
For the first half of our signature 15-Day Vietnam & Cambodia Journey – across the Mekong river, we focus entirely on the diverse landscapes of Vietnam, moving systematically from the ancient North to the dynamic South.
Here is how the first 8 days unfold before we cross the border.

1. The Ancient North (Hanoi & The Bay)
We do not start your trip by trapping you on a tour bus. We put you on the back of a vintage Russian Minsk motorcycle. You will weave through the chaotic, vibrant alleys of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, taste authentic Pho in Ba Dinh District, and cross the historic Long Bien Bridge to see the hidden farming communities on the Red River.

The next day, we trade the city noise for absolute silence. You board a luxury overnight cruise in Lan Ha Bay or Bai Tu Long Bay—the pristine, less-crowded alternatives to Halong Bay—waking up to the sunrise over thousands of limestone karsts.

2. The Imperial Center (Hue to Hoi An)
A short flight brings you to the center of the country.
In Hue, you explore the fortress walls of the Imperial Citadel and the ornate tombs of the Nguyen Emperors. But the real magic happens outside the city. We take you on an 8km cycling tour through La Chu Village, riding past rice terraces and lotus ponds, stopping to taste Banh Loc (shrimp dumplings) with local farmers.

From there, your private driver takes you over the spectacular Hai Van Pass, dropping down into the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An Ancient Town.

3. The Modern South (Ho Chi Minh City)
The final stop of the Vietnam leg is the economic engine of the country: Saigon – Ho Chi Minh city

We skip the generic tourist traps and take you deep into history. You will visit the secret weapons bunkers used during the 1968 Tet Offensive hidden beneath a vintage café, and explore the ten-thousand Buddha statues of Van Phat Pagoda in the heart of Chinatown.

The Journey is Just Beginning
By Day 8, you have seen the full spectrum of Vietnam. Most tourists fly home now. But you aren’t most tourists.
Instead of heading to the airport, your driver is taking you south toward the Mekong Delta. The second half of your journey—the river crossing into the Khmer Empire of Cambodia—is about to begin.
